This is opposite from Disney cruise, where they gave you a VIP welcoming by announcing your family name at the entry. So after leaving each port, you hear the big announcement about the mandatory safety check, but only for the new passengers getting on that day, it was so confusing initially. Then to find out that there were lots passengers on board already, only later we found out that this ship doesn't have a formal embarkation or disembarkation, it's essentially a public transit system, where they board and unload new passengers at each port. No staff to direct you how to get on ship and find your cabin, no formal welcome, we just wandered ourselves in. Embarkation: about 40 min delayed for the first group once they started checking in, before that, you had to wait outside the tented building with no where to sit. Very few excursions offered on the app but they had some more once you get on board, defeat the whole purpose of pre-planning. Boarding ticket must be pre-printed, each ticket is minimum 15 pages long, talking about printer ink. No real other dining options except the dining hall for formal dinners. Buffet closes during dinner time (only open for kids club), does not re-open till 23:00. Pre-trip, I found out these irregularities: nothing is complimentary (except your dinning and shows), I'm talking about any special occasion celebrations (in cabin and dinning), even simple ice cream is not free. We had 3 cabins for a group of 7 (ages 10-77), on a 7 night cruise to Western Mediterranean (June 25). My wife and I have cruised at least 7-8 times prior (from Princes to Disney, mostly American, so this MSC was our first European cruise trip). I'm not a pessimist and hate to write negative reviews, but when the experience is so horrible, it'd compel anyone to do something about it, for the sake of humanity. Me and my family are definetly doing another cruise. That‘s what makes the stay on the ship a hundred times more amazing. They‘re doing so hard work everyday for months and still have a smile in their face and are happy. I also want to say that the waiter John Mark and her assistent Colyne on the marketplace restaurant were like friends for our family at the end of the week. For a guest on a ship this big like the MSC Seashore it‘s a really nice feeling if the barkeepers and waiters know you & like to serve you. Despite working a lot and having almost no free time they made the evenings and nights for me and my family amazing. They were both kind, funny, nice and respectful at all times. That‘s why I want to point out the GREAT barkeepers Hugo Martin (casino bar) and Bilel Ben Machjoub (sportsbar). As a guest you want to have a good time in all bars & barkeepers can have a big influence on the experience. Angry Barkeepers Some of the barkeepers were pissed off and didn‘t like their job. Music can make a really big impact on the mood. Music in the casino the live music in the Casino sounded like a horrorshow, MSC should invest in singers with a good voice or just get a DJ. On the MSC Seashore the casino had no flair, it was loud, kids and people were running around. A casino should be a serious, calm atmosphere where children are not allowed. The infrastructure was beautiful, as well as the music (picture) Things we didn‘t like: -the food & atmosphere in the marketplace buffet way too many people, cold food, bad hygiene, not enough staff, chaotic atmosphere -only two plugs in the cabin for 4 people -open casino the casino wasn‘t seperated. Things we liked: -Attractions for the children (aquapark, pool games etc.) -The food in the restaurant -Hotel service -animation team -variety of drinks -atmosphere & music in the atrium the atrium was the heart of the msc seashore. We were 8 people, 4 adults and 4 children. Me and my family went on the MSC Seashore in July 2023. MSC Cruises to Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur.
